Overview

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for optimizing systems and driving process improvements? As a Commercial & Ag Loan Operations Analyst, you will oversee the management and support of Commercial and Agricultural loan systems, serving as a vital link between Loan Operations, IT, and business teams. This role involves analyzing system requirements, implementing updates, and providing training to ensure efficient and compliant system usage. Responsibilities

System Administration

  • Manage Commercial/Ag Loan systems with focus on the systems used by Loan Operations and Credit Underwriting.
  • Serve as systems & process point of contact and support for Commercial and Ag loan systems.
  • Stay abreast of system releases and future enhancements. Analyze and determine how they affect current use of systems.  Test, implement and communicate to internal users.
  • Provide training on new or changed functionalities in systems.
  • Assist managers with writing procedures as system functionalities change within a process.
  • Document processes and workflow and identifying the necessary system specifications required for executing system solutions with an understanding of how the function operates.
  • Assist in creating reporting and dashboards and provide regular management updates to highlight performance, escalate critical issues and project status. Develop management reporting routines to keep senior leadership in operations apprised of the progress, risk and issues.
  • Monitor and ensure data quality and availability
  • Systems utilization to ensure regulatory compliance and reporting.
  • Utilizes all technical tools available and appropriate to the position to support department initiatives and implement efficiencies
  • Responsible for identifying, assessing, and documenting business requirements, recommending business systems and process priorities, and advising the business on options, risks, and process changes.
  • Define systems use cases and develop training programs to ensure systems are effectively utilized.
  • Keep abreast of developments within the market, IT trends, process and systems and look for opportunities to apply them to the company/department goals.
  • Provide analysis to management pertaining to systems performance, functional workflow, portfolio composition and functional volume
  • Innovate using market intelligence, 3rd parties and staff input to create new forward looking opportunities for automation and efficiencies.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform other tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job and department, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances.
  • Works as part of a team to accomplish office/dept goals. This includes working additional hours as needed and/or taking on additional responsibilities as needed within other rotations.
  • Assist with various projects as needed and/or perform other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Participates in internal/external training as appropriate.
  • Participates in community involvement/bank activities as appropriate.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or requested.

Adhere to all Bank Security/Compliance Regulations

  • Complete all annual bank security and compliance training.
  • Adhere to Bank Security/compliance and policy guidelines.
  • Always maintain confidentiality of client information.
  • Stay current on all compliance regulations, required through training and daily education.
  • Regularly review publications/websites to remain current to rules, regulations, technology, trends, and developments related to the real estate lending industry

Qualifications

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Analytics/Computer Science/Statistics or relevant field and/or 5-7 years previous work experience in managing/working in loan operations or with loan systems.
  • Experience in systems and process training
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner
  • Adept in ability to learn quickly, apply creativity, understand complex processes and procedures, prioritize workload, set and meet deadlines, and perform well with a minimum of direct supervision
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and focus with attention to detail in fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities
  • Detail oriented, with ability to manage time and organize competing priorities
  • Interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with a broad range of professional and technical staff
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written) in order to communicate and relate effectively with customers and associates
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work on multiple priorities efficiently & accurately
  • Demonstrated ability in exercising independent judgment
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and to provide ownership over own work in order to get the job done
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and remain calm while working in a fast paced/deadline driven environment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, proficient typing/keyboarding skills and the ability and willingness to learn new programs and software
  • Ability to maintain confidential customer information
  • Ability to read, write, understand and speak English clearly
  • Ability to represent the organization in a professional, positive manner

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 + years Commercial / Agriculture loan operations experience
  • Knowledge of Commercial and Agricultural Banking systems and processes
  • Knowledge of compliance and banking regulations
  • Good understanding of financial products and services

This position is a full time position with hours of 8am – 5pm Monday-Friday with the flexibility.
